Content Gap Finder
Identify missing topics in your content based on common questions and search patterns.
Your article may skip angles searchers expect
A page about a subject often answers "what" and "how" but forgets comparisons, mistakes, costs or beginner advice. This tool is a quick way to catch those omissions. It holds a short list of common query patterns, checks whether each one shows up in your text, and turns the missing ones into prompts. Think of it as a checklist that reads your draft, not as research: it has no access to rankings, competitors or search volume, and your text never leaves the page.
Step by step
- Enter the subject in Your Main Topic/Keyword. The tool needs this field and will stop with a message if it is empty.
- Paste your full draft, or a bullet list of the sections you have, into Your Current Content (paste or summarize).
- Press Find Content Gaps.
- Work through the output: a count of covered and missing angles, up to ten gap ideas, up to six question starters, and the angles it considers done.
What to watch for
Coverage is decided by a case-insensitive search for the modifier as a separate word or phrase, such as "mistakes" or "how to", not for the modifier next to your topic. Exact wording counts: "mistake" in the singular does not satisfy "mistakes". One passing mention is enough to mark an angle as covered, so a high covered count can hide thin sections.
Which list you get depends on your topic. When seo appears as its own word, as in "local seo", you get a list tuned to SEO subjects (best practices, audit, for beginners, case study and so on). Every other topic, a phrase like "Seoul travel" included, gets a general list that includes why, types of, alternatives and cost.
Gap ideas are built as modifier then topic, which produces awkward strings like "for beginners local seo". Rephrase them into natural queries and confirm demand with your own data before writing.
Questions people ask
Does it compare my page with competitors?
No. There is no competitor input and no fetching. For a competitor-based gap analysis you need ranking data from Search Console or a keyword tool.
Why are the questions so generic?
They are just question words joined to your topic, like "Why local seo?". They are reminders to add real questions, which you can collect from People Also Ask boxes and your query reports.
Why does it say a topic is covered when my section is tiny?
Because it only checks that the modifier word appears. Read the section yourself and decide if it answers the query.
