Keyword Stuffing

Technical Definition

Keyword stuffing is the practice of overloading content with target keywords in an attempt to manipulate rankings. Examples: unnaturally repeating keywords, hidden text, irrelevant keywords. Violates Google guidelines and can result in penalties. Modern algorithms detect and devalue stuffed content. Focus on user-first content instead.

Simple Explanation (ELI13)

Keyword stuffing is cramming your keyword into your content way too many times. It used to work, but now Google recognizes it and can penalize your site. Content like 'Buy cheap shoes, our cheap shoes are the cheapest shoes for cheap' is obviously stuffed. Write for humans, not search engines.
