Technical Definition
Link reclamation recovers lost or broken backlinks. Types: fixing broken links to your site (redirect or contact webmaster), claiming unlinked brand mentions, recovering links lost in redesigns. More efficient than acquiring new links since the linking site already endorsed you. Use tools to monitor for link losses and mentions.
Simple Explanation (ELI13)
Link reclamation is getting back links you've lost. Maybe a site removed a link, or your page they linked to now 404s, or someone mentioned your brand without linking. Since these sites already liked you enough to mention you, getting the link back is often easier than finding new link sources.
