Assisted Conversions

Technical Definition

Assisted conversions credit touchpoints that contributed to conversion without being the final click. Organic search often has high assisted conversions: users discover via search, convert later through direct or other channels. Shows SEO's top-of-funnel value. Available in GA4 attribution reports.

Simple Explanation (ELI13)

Assisted conversions are sales or signups where a channel helped but wasn't the final click before converting. Organic search often gets lots of assists: someone finds you in Google, leaves, then comes back directly and buys. This shows SEO's value even when it doesn't get credit for the conversion.
