Technical Definition

Transactional intent indicates readiness to take action: buy, sign up, download. Query signals: 'buy,' 'price,' 'deal,' 'order,' 'subscribe.' Google serves commercial pages: product pages, pricing pages, e-commerce. Highest conversion value. Target with commercial landing pages, clear CTAs, trust signals. Often shows shopping results.

Simple Explanation (ELI13)

Transactional intent is when someone is ready to take action, usually buy something. 'Buy iPhone 15' or 'Netflix subscription' show transactional intent. These are the most valuable searches because people are ready to convert. Your pages targeting these should make it easy to take action.
