Simple Explanation (ELI13)
CRO is about getting more of your visitors to buy or sign up. If 100 people visit and 2 buy, CRO tries to make that 3 or 4. It works hand-in-hand with SEO: SEO brings people to your site, CRO turns them into customers. Things like page speed and user experience affect both.
